Adagio Assai

I made this picture for the Wacom dreams contest. It's weird because I always dreamed of becoming a children's book illustrator and an animator, and now that I'm working in the animation area I (re) discovered a strong passion for music, some kind of deep feeling for the sound of violin. I'm strudying music again and I'm just happy. "Adagio" means a slow way of playing certain pieces, and "assai" means "very", so the title means "Very slow", in musical terms.

Note: Although this is for the Wacom contest, I decided that I wanted to use only traditional media, since I've been working a lot in animation with digital painting and I needed to do something different for myself...

Music + animals is the best combination for me (btw, do you see the kitten in the illustration just had dinner before the concert..? Look again.).
I just feel the tenderness of my kittens when they come close to listen when I play Valentin -- my violin, which I bought with the money I earned from the first work I had in an animation film.
