This is the first one of a series of illustrations for a book that is about to be soon published. The story is a real fact about a black cat that lived in the zoo (that doesn't exist anymore) with his mum and siblings but decided to stay in the rabbit's hole with them and became "Gatoconejo" ( "Catbunny" ). I was listening to JS Bach when composing the image, so that was the inspiration that gave me the idea of the music flowing through the frame to invade the room. His music transports me to hidden places... like this one.
I made the creatures with my own hands and then took pics of them to make the whole image. This is a resubmission for I kept working on the image a lot after I submitted it for the first time. Hope you like it and please, leave an opinion on it... Thanks a lot
It's a great illustration, also it gives a kind of 'haunted house' feeling.
And I kinda like this version better because the purple in #2 is too strong and gets too much attention, if it's a childrens book you could maybe desaturate the purple a little
I like this one better than the purple one.
It's very good! The mother cat is awesome.
The only negative point would be the "bunnycat"'s ears, I think that if you don't read the resume, it's not obvious the cat is disguised as a bunny...

I love it! I think the eyes on the mother cat are better than those on the others and I'm not real sure what it is around her waist but I totally can tell that the cat has fake bunny ears on. Love the background too!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
